Jack and Vicki watch from the Aegis Group's building as Tom and the Foundation fight against Svengali. As soon as the battle is over, Vicki mentally calls out to Tom. Tom flies up to the window which parts so he can enter. He is surprised to see a talking lion next to a tall blonde woman. He asks Jack if he's okay. Jack is still bitter and pushes him away since he's always "playing superhero" rather than worry about him. Jack then goes into a convulsion and he is taken away by a couple of attendants.

Tom wants to go with them but Vicki tells him to talk to the Aegis Group. Entering another room, he is overwhelmed to see all sort of mythical creatures. The lion tells him that they protect them from "man's world." Tom asks why he's there and is told that an ancient evil has come and he has been chosen to fight it. He also mentions that Zeus gave his thunderbolt to him.

In the hospital portion of the building, the man in charge senses a great darkness around Jack. As he waits for some Atlantean crystals to arrive to help him, he suggests to Vicki that she clean herself up. After a bath, she is given a costume by some faeries. Just as she puts it on, she is hit by a big blast.

Tom questions the mention of Zeus. The lion tells him that his scent is all over him. Tom says he doesn't know anythig about how he got his power. They go to check on Jack and find the place in flames. Tom runs to Vicki. When she comes to, she tells him it was Jack. Tom gets zapped and Jack appears wearing an ancient armor. He decides to call himself "Black Jack." Using some more artifacts he found, he brings forth an army of the dead, which keeps Tom and Vicki busy. As Black Jack heads for a sealed vault, the lion tells him he will not be allowed to pass. Black Jack just hits him with a blast and uses a sword to bust down the door. Inside appears to be Olympus. Black Jack says, "Just as I left it." He turns to Tom and gives him one last chance. He tells him it'll be his power for his life. He tells him to find him on the mountain and leaves.

Tom and Vicki begin to enter to doorway and the grass starts growing and tangling their feet. Behind them, an army of mythical creatures ask where do they think they're going.
